She is conscientious and genuinely loves Japan and being a guide. She was very knowledgeable, and came prepared with laminated images to help bring the history alive. He even took some extra time instead of rushing. He showed us nice places and taught us thing we would not have learned if it wasn't for him. He took his time and got a good feeling for our interests and pace. He explained to us many interesting things in a absolutely not boring way. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and were grateful that we had someone so experienced to show us around. Our tour guide was great because as a local, he knew about cool places to take us to, as well as how to get there. We had a very full day and saw much of Osaka. To eliminate any additional stress and walking for our group, he left lunch early to secure our tickets and work out all of the details with the tour operator ahead of time. While at lunch after our first stop at the catacombs and Palatine Hill, Matteo reviewed the details of obtaining our tickets. I had to pre-book tickets for the Colosseum through a third party vendor to ensure they didn't sell out. He immediately outlined a proposed schedule for a full day in Rome to cover all of our specific points of interest and a wonderful lunch to break up the long day of sight seeing.
